Welcome to Matters2Me.This new DVD and accompanying Learning Booklet have been in production for the last 12 months. Aimed at teachers, parents, youth workers and others who work with children, they demonstrate ways to help keep children safe from abuse.
The DVD and Learning Booklet has been written and produced by one of the country's leading child protection experts (Mark Williams-Thomas ),with significant contributions from leading criminologist (Professor David Wilson) and a child abuse campaigner, Marilyn Hawes founder of (Enough Abuse).
The DVD is fronted and introduced by award winning actress,Julie Walters.She says,"I am delighted to be involved with Matters2Me and believe by promoting understanding and education to parents, carers and children in how to recognise the early signs of grooming, before abuse happens,is vitally important, and the most effective way to help reduce the numbers of children abused every year. The aim is prevention, not to scare, by enabling everyone to become more aware, and therefore protect themselves."
